In article <3A7C875D.C7994C05@johnrnew.demon.co.uk>, John New <johnnew@johnrnew.demon.co.uk> writes >On one commercial course on design I went on a few years ago this was >actively encouraged for beginners wanting to set up a new site. I think >it is morally wrong as an ocasional designer but I don't see how you can >stop it. International copyright laws make provision for the protection of original work, with the recent - and far more punitive - Millennium Copyright Act forcing ISPs to pull disputed websites within 72 hours until legal ownership of the work can be established. I've no problem with people nicking chunks of code but when it comes to lifting the entire layout, graphics, nav bar, style sheets and even the intro text from a non profit site and slapping it on a dubious commercial concern offering a diametrically opposed viewpoint, I tend to get a tad upset.
