"Does anybody care that I am here?"
"Damn! Another mail call and I still haven't gotten any mail!"

We have a LOT of young men and women in some far away places with strange
sounding names that are there, not because they wanted to go, but because
Uncle Sam - our government - asked them to go and to risk their lives for
us!

I served in Viet Nam and 2 tours in Korea. I know what it's like to spend
Christmas all alone, without my family, remembering Christmases past when we
were all around the Christmas tree on Christmas morning, and bawling my eyes
out for the loneliness.

I'm asking you to find some GI's that are out there risking their lives for
US. Send them a 'Care Package'. Maybe a can of peanuts, maybe some
batteries, maybe a new CD. Maybe a book of stamps so they can write home to
their loved ones. Maybe some notepaper and envelopes.

Even if it's just a short letter that says, "I know that you are there and I
appreciate what you are doing for me. Thank you!" 

PLEASE, PLEASE let these kids know that they are NOT alone and that the
folks back home appreciate their work!
