I dunno about this. I've got a 20' piece of wire (just your
standard power cord stuff) strung out along the wall. I pick up
reasonably clearly channels 2,3,6,7,10,13,15 and 27. That's in
addition to the duplicate channels, the ones that hardly come in
at all, and some Christian channel. 7, 10 and 15 come almost as well
as cable. I can also pick up ESPN if I set the TV to 'cable' instead
of normal, even though I don't have cable -- I don't understand why
this is or where the signal comes from.
This list includes the 3 main networks, Fox, WGN, TBS, PBS,
and the B'burg channel. All with decent quality on an uncomplicated
antenna. (no messing with rabbit ears)
While on the subject, my TV is pretty old, so the tuner probably
isn't the best. Is anyone else able to pick up more channels from
the air in decent quality? I can tell channel 9 is CSPAN, but it
doesn't come in clearly enough to hear.
