Before you buy a mini-dish and get rid of cable, you need to be careful about
receiving the networks.  My dad has a big dish and so receives a couple of
dish programming magazines.  I've read in them that your local TV stations
can petition your dish program provider to block your access to the networks.
This is part of some bill Congress passed a while back that's generated alot
of heat.

The theory is that if you watch ABC, NBC, etc, on the dish, you won't see
the local advertising, so the local TV stations will lose out on ad
revenues in the long run.  Be careful or you may be locked out of receiving
the networks on small or big dishes if you can recieve these signals with
a normal rooftop-type antenna.
