My son asked me this question and I could not answer it. I
hope this isn't too off topic. I apologize if it is, but
I would appreciate any input. I just don't know the answers!

We watch Dan Rather on CBS in the DC area on WUSA/TV9 at
6:30 pm Monday through Friday. As we were watching tonight
my son asked me, "Do the people in California watch this
at the same time we do?" He knew there is a three-hour
time difference. I didn't know what so say, but I figured
they did not watch Dan Rather at 3:30 in the afternoon.

And another question about west coast times:

In DC most of our late night news is at 11 pm. 

4-WRC-TV- 11:00 pm (NBC)
5-WTTG-TV- 10:00 pm (Fox)
7-WJLA-TV - 11:00 pm (ABC)
9-WUSA-TV - 11:00 pm (CBS)

Are most nightly newscasts on the west coast broadcast at
11:00 pm or 10:00 pm or earlier .... like 7 pm? When are
most of the late news programs aired?

I just wondered if they showed Dan Rather here and rewound the
tape and played it three hours later?

Any input appreciated. I hope this question isn't as confusing,
as I felt, when my son asked me.
