IBM floating conversion

I have data coming in from an IBM system (unsure which model) that is
character, integer, and floating. I can handle the first two easily, and
I already know about reording the bytes and words to convert to VAX use.
Folating point numbers are a bit trickier, though. Does anybody have or
know about some software program/subroutine/code fragment that can convert
from IBM format floating point to VAX format floating point? If so, email
me, post it, or give me a pointer to the source. Thanks.
