Hello,
I would like to know if there is a way to make a read from sys$command
in DCL editing a string.
When I use the command :
$ read sys$command p1
Data:
I can then use up arrow and edit in my read the command I have just
used (read sys$command p1).
Would it be possible to replace that line with something else or better
have that something be prompted for editing.
e.g.
$ a = "abc"
$ read sys$command a !(something magic)
Data: abc
I am not sure I was to successful in making myself clear,
Thanks if you can answer that,
Franck.
P.S. Please reply by mail if it is after the end of current week (32) or I
might miss your reply.
