Every mother is a working mother - the only difference between her and a
salaried worker in an office is that the mother works far, far harder,
usually can't stop for breaks (because children don't ever stop unless
they're asleep, and that's frequently the only time the mother gets a
chance to catch up with the housework), there's no "knocking off" time,
and she gets paid.....absolutely zilch!

The system won't be a just, fair one until child-carers (including
mothers) get paid a decent wage just for the vitally important task of
rearing our future citizens. This job is far too under-valued in our
society.
