Checkmate to Costello. Wayne Swan was asked if he would guarantee he would be the treasurer for 18 months. He said he would be treasurey ADVISER and then realized his mistake as Costello laughed and then said he would be treasurer. Now me thinks that Gillard who wanted to be treasurer really will be after the election. How frightning is that!

Stupid Voters: Oh, can we mister PM, please can we? Crazy old John: Sure you can, and you can have a pay cut also. Stupid Voters: How can we repay you, Your Majesty? Crazy old John: When you finish with the sausage, you may notice that my arse needs extra attention. *****************************************

How frightning is that! Apparently, the worm thinks Swan "edged out Costello". Really, given that Costello has been painting Swan as a lightweight and himself as future leader, no KO is a win to Swan. Turnbull must have been rubbing his hands with glee. Fran

Both of them came across very well - they both expressed themselves clearly and confidently except for the question about "Do you believe the polls about people wanting services instead of tax cuts?" which they both answered very poorly and dishonestly. All in all, my opinion of both men is higher than it was before I listened to that debate - Costello is clearly head and shoulders above Howard.

Spot on, I think Costello is about 6 inches taller than Howard.

Shows me the ALP are starting to panic.

You were probably watching the worm instead of HEARING what was said. This is why I watched ABC TV. So you think when Wayne Swan was asked if he would be treasurer for 18 months and replied with that he would be treasurey ADVISER for 18 months wasn't good for Costello. I think it was a KO and Swanny did it to himself. How Funny is that!

I have no idea what you are talking about - the above Q&A was perhaps the least substantive part of the entire debate - how typical of you rightards to focus in on the inanities and ignore the concrete.

How frightning is that! Looks like another cat out of the bag. I'm sure Gizzard the dillard would spend up big on all her unionist mates.

People who are considering which party they'll vote for don't care about stuff like that. Andrew Robb has at least twice described Australia as having a 1 trillion dollar economy while Coalition advertising descriobes it as a 1.1 trillion dollar economy. So are we to conclude that the economy has shrunk by 100 billion dollars since the campaign ads were printed? It's fun for us of course, but the average voter couldn't care less. > I think it was a KO and Swanny did it > to himself. How Funny is that! Not even worth mentioning, really. You must waste a lot of time cackling inanely if you think that's funny. Fran
