Even more significantly, the 18-24 age group had the lowest voter turnout
in 1988, at about 1/3, while the 65-and-older group had the highest, at
about 2/3.  The result?  Look at the relative handling of scholarships and
other student concerns in contrast to Social Security.  While not to
belittle the importance of Social Security to many citizens (though I think
its management could stand *some* belittling), I know which is of more
importance to *me*.
