I-90/94 Road Destruction, er, Construction

Hello fellow travellers! I just got back from northern Minnesota and
wanted to tell everyone interested about construction on I-90/94 between
The Dells & Lyndon Station.

The eastbound traffic is reduced to 1 lane for 6 miles. Going east, I
heard the reports on 530 AM radio & saw the signs, but I didn't go on the
construction bypass the exit before Lyndon Sta. I figured I could
catch the Lyndon Sta. exit. Bzzzt. Wrong. The traffic backup
started five miles before that exit, but through the construction zone,
it seemed like it flowed smoothly. I really don't know; I chickened out
& took US12 through Baraboo.

I think the construction south of there, where they have 2 11' lanes
in each direction opened is fine.

But remember, this was Sunday evening.

BTW, would construction advisories be something that would be a good
idea to post on this? Or is calling the road condition toll-free number
good enough?
