Kerry loses it, calls Army "stupid"

John Kerry's wild accusations about the "missing" explosives is based
on the assumption that you, the voters, are completely stupid. He
thinks that you have absolutely no ability to think.

Think about it. How is it possible for insurgent Iraqis to just carry
off nearly 400 tons of explosives without being seen?

Does it make sense that they just stuffed 400 tons of explosives down
their pants and walked off in the night?

How do you remove 400 tons of explosives without being noticed?

How many insurgents does it take to steal 400 tons of explosives?
That's almost a million pounds of explosives. Think about it. Does it
make sense that this much activity would go unnoticed?

The movement of 400 tons of explosives would have required dozens of
heavy trucks and equipment moving along the same roadways that U.S.
combat divisions occupied continually for weeks prior to and
subsequent to the US Army's arrival at the facility.

Kerry suggests that the US Army is so incompetent and stupid that they
wouldn't notice 400 tons of explosives being moved by the enemy behind
their own lines! And then he blames George Bush for the whole problem.
This makes no sense at all!!

Kerry has lost it! He makes wild accusations that make no sense at all
and he thinks that you are too stupid to see through it all.

This man has no business being in the White House. He is totally
irresponsible and totally unsuited to protect America in such
uncertain times.

First of all, when did Kerry call the Army "stupid" as you say in the
title of the post?

Secondly, let's look at what Mr Rudy Giuliani, darling of the
Republican party said, while travelling with Bush:

Campaign surrogate Giuliani said Thursday on the "Today Show," "No
matter how you try to blame it on the president the actual
responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there.
Did they search carefully enough? Didn't they search carefully
enough?"

Hm. Which one is calling the Army stupid?

Russia tied to Iraq's missing arms

By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and
related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March
2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.
John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for
international technology security, said in an interview that he believes
the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly"
removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa
facility, south of Baghdad.

"The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole
series of military units," Mr. Shaw said. "Their main job was to shred
all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the
Iraqis. The others were transportation units."
Mr. Shaw, who was in charge of cataloging the tons of conventional
arms provided to Iraq by foreign suppliers, said he recently obtained
reliable information on the arms-dispersal program from two European
intelligence services that have detailed knowledge of the Russian-Iraqi
weapons collaboration.
Most of Saddam's most powerful arms were systematically separated
from other arms like mortars, bombs and rockets, and sent to Syria and
Lebanon, and possibly to Iran, he said.

To put it in more simplistic terms you *may* be able to grasp...

"Matt Telles had 400 tons of apples in his living room. Someone took
away 400 tons of apples while Matt Telles was sitting right there
watching cartoons. Matt Telles didn't even know it happened."

Q: How many apples does Matt Telles have left?

Q: How stupid does Matt Telles look?

Concentrate real hard, there's no time limit.

Both of them. Anything else you need cleared up?

Another lie rebutted. Did you happen to catch the news report with the
VIDEO of the explosives shown, Unkie? How did they manage to fake that
particular one, that David Kay indicates ARE the missing explosives?

Which our intelligence services didn't notice until just now? What
a crock.

Ever try to shred a factory, a lab, ammo bunkers and the contaminated
soils they stood on? And ain't it convenient that they happened to
bring along enough trucks, workers and fuel to move about three-quarter
million pounds of high explosives, of uncertain sensitivity? And move
it all, unnoticed until now, without one accident, while our recce
planes and spysats were all over them? Holy maskirovka, Battyman!
How did they ever lose the Cold War?

Get real. Saddam gave his WMDs to any of his mortal enemies? "Hi,

U.S. intelligence suspects Iraq's weapons of mass destruction have
finally been located.

Unfortunately, getting to them will be nearly impossible for the United
States and its allies, because the containers with the strategic
materials are not in Iraq.

Instead they are located in Lebanon's heavily-fortified Bekaa Valley,
swarming with Iranian and Syrian forces, and Hizbullah and ex-Iraqi
agents, Geostrategy-Direct.com will report in tomorrow's new weekly
edition.

U.S. intelligence first identified a stream of tractor-trailer trucks
moving from Iraq to Syria to Lebaon in January 2003. The significance of
this sighting did not register on the CIA at the time.

U.S. intelligence sources believe the area contains extended-range
Scud-based missiles and parts for chemical and biological warheads.

Mutually-lucrative Iraqi-Syrian arms transactions are nothing new. Firas
Tlas, son of Syrian Defense Minister Mustafa Tlas, has been the key to
Syria's rogue alliance with Iraq. He and Assad made hundreds of millions
of dollars selling weapons, oil and drugs to and from Iraq, according to
the May 13, 2003 edition of Geostrategy-Direct.com.

The CIA now believes a multi-million dollar deal between Iraq and Syria
provided for the hiding and safekeeping of Saddam's strategic weapons.

We already know what Russia had at stake there:

http://www.heritage.org/Research/MiddleEast/wm217.cfm

Russia
Russia controls roughly 5.8 percent of Iraqs annual imports.[16] Under
the U.N. oil-for-food program, Russias total trade with Iraq was
somewhere between $530 million and $1 billion for the six months ending
in December of 2001.[17]
According to the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Vladimir Titorenko, new
contracts worth another $200 million under the U.N. oil-for-food program
are to be signed over the next three months.[18]
Russias LUKoil negotiated a $4 billion, 23-year contract in 1997 to
rehabilitate the 15 billion-barrel West Qurna field in southern Iraq.
Work on the oil field was expected to commence upon cancellation of U.N.
sanctions on Iraq. The deal is currently on hold.[19]
In October 2001, Salvneft, a RussianBelarus company, negotiated a $52
million service contract to drill at the Tuba field in Southern Iraq.[20]
In April 2001, Russias Zaruezhneft and Tatneft companies received a
service contract to drill in the Saddam, Kirkuk, and Bai Hassan fields
to rehabilitate the fields and reduce water incursion. Together the
deals were valued at $13.2 million.[21]
A future $40 billion IraqiRussian economic agreement, reportedly signed
in 2002, would allow for extensive oil exploration opportunities
throughout western Iraq.[22] The proposal calls for 67 new projects,
over a 10-year time frame, to explore and further develop fields in
southern Iraq and the Western Desert, including the Suba, Luhais, West
Qurna, and Rumaila projects. Additional projects added to the deal
include second-phase construction of a pipeline running from southern to
northern Iraq, and extensive drilling and gas projects. Work on these
projects would commence upon cancellation of sanctions.[23]
Russias Gazprom Company over the past few years has signed contracts
worth $18 million to repair gas stations in Iraq.[24]
The former Soviet Union was the premier supplier of Iraqi arms. From
1981 to 2001, Russia supplied Iraq with 50 percent of its arms.[25]
Soviet-era debt of $7 billion through $8 billion was generated by arms
sales to Iraq during the 19801988 IranIraq war.
Three Russian firms are suspected of selling electronic jamming
equipment, antitank missiles and thousands of night-vision goggles to
Iraq in violation of U.N. sanctions.[26] Two of the companies
identified are Aviaconversiya and KBP Tula.
