(If it does, the next obvious question is "you CAN override it personally as a customer, right?") This should be easy for Enteract to test - they can telnet from their mail host into the WWA/Verio SMTP port, MANUALLY transmit a message, and see if the appropriate "yeah, ok, we got it and will deliver it" message comes back from the SMTP server. If it DOES, then the presumption is on the Verio/WWA server as being either (1) intentionally blocked, or (2) broken. If it does NOT, then the error message at that level SHOULD HAVE been returned to you at Enteract (which apparently didn't happen). -- -- Karl Denninger (karl@denninger.net) http://www.mcs.net/~karl I ain't even *authorized* to speak for anyone other than myself, so give up now on trying to associate my words with any particular organization. "Yes, the president should resign. He has lied to the American people, time and time again, and betrayed their trust. Since he has admitted guilt, there is no reason to put the American people through an impeachment. He will serve absolutely no purpose in finishing out his term, the only possible solution is for the president to save some dignity and resign." ________________________________________________________________________ 12th Congressional District Hopeful William Jefferson Clinton, during the Nixon investigations
