I have recently installed version 5 of Acrobat Reader. I found that when I went to use it, I got a series of error messages, eg, There was an error while loading plug-ins ........ Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name. I click 'OK', then get another similar error message, click 'OK', and so on, several times. At the end of this, the pdf reader worked OK.

However, today, in an attempt to eliminate this problem in order to read a manual in pdf form on a 'Nero' software CD-ROM, I downloaded Version 5.05. When I try to use it, I get a similar series of error messages:

'There was an error while loading plug-in 'Afill32.api'. Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name.' I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error while loading plug-in 'hls.api'. Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name.' I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error while loading plug-in 'Movie32.api'. Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name.' I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error while loading plug-in 'search.api'. Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name.' I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error while loading plug-in 'Weblnk32.api'. Two plug-ins are attempting to register with the same name.' I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error while loading plug-in 'ieweb32.api'. The plug-in failed to initialize'. I click 'OK' and then get the following error message: 'There was an error opening this document. A file reading error has occurred'. I click 'OK' and get 'Acrobat Reader' with a blank screen, which I cannot use to open the document I am interested in .

PLease help.

Thank you.
