I am going back to your suggested approach of building all animated buttons in a common movie clip group. My real problem is that aliases and their remote rollovers seem to be linking to each other in various states. I have noticed that in all cases, working with aliases seems to be causing significant problems. Let's say I have an object and make 4 aliases of it for a total of 5 buttons. NOw if I want to make each button animated to a mouseover, well to a certain extent I can get independent actions, but when I tried to further link to remote rollovers, well the remote rollovers were connecting to the other aliases in a quirky and unpredictable way. I'm going to try again the common movie clip method you suggest, because I need to make these aliases work to save file space. Thanks. -CR
