I just downloaded Adobe Reader 8 and that solved all my problems. I did not uninstall the previous version which was Adobe Reader 7, which is what I had the problem with, it just installed over it. Problem solved for me I guess. If you are not running version 8, it may be worth a try as it worked for me.
