No, this is Reader, not Acrobat (which is the pay product with which you can create PDFs)

In general when you get in to a state like you are in you should try and clean up older versions of Reader before trying to proceed. Either use the uninstall via add/remove programs or a Microsoft utility

What OS are you on - Reader 7.0.8 only supports recent operating systems. Look in the System Requirements.
