I am running Gnome with Red Hat Linux 6.0. Gnome seems a bit flakey and it locks-up often. How can I gain COMMAND LINE ACCESS so I can halt or reboot the system. I have no control over the mouse. I'm not sure if I have keyboard control. I don't like just powering down the system, it seems to have quite a negative effect on the next reboot! I'm pretty new to Linux and Gnome. I worked alot with Unix about 12 yrs ago. I've, unfortunatley, been on the "dark side" ever since :o( Please help, thanks JW
