When you use it, it will try to see if there is a btooth connection and the other device (the computer) will share the connection (if it has one). It's nice to browse @ 1.2mbit in the bathroom ... =P buu ps. i guess (never tried) that you can't get any incoming call since you are using gprs (even if you aren't actually -.-)

Ok, well since I can browse the internet using Netfront, i did this, ok go into Messaging.... options....settings....e-mail....mailboxes....options.....new mailbox.... then enter these settings..... mailbox name.....<ANY> access point in use .....<the connection name you gave when you created an access point for the browser before> this is listed in the GPRS section....somhow it catogorises the bluetooth internet connection as an active GPRS connection....but dont let this confuse you...remember when you create an access point, u use that for all internet connections... my mail address....<yourname@somemail.com> you have to know your ingoing and outgoing mail server address too, which you can get off your email viewer on your computer... select pop3 if your account is a pop3 account enter your username and password... and thats it.... then from the main menu messaging...mailbox.......options.....connect.....it should prompt for the connection name and voila, emails in your inbox....woot woot! cheers ;) "Mark." <m.nikia#optusnet.com.au> wrote in message news:3ff8a381$0$18691$afc38c87@news.optusnet.com.au... > details in entirety please =) > -mark > > "a_dude" <blax@blox.com> wrote in message > news:bt90ug$1hmn$2@otis.netspace.net.au... > > Woot! > > > > Now i can access my email via my ngage and no GPRS or WAP charges ... > > > > cheers ;) > > > > > > > >

ah fuck it...heres a cut down version of the details.... 1st Part -------- Creating an access point on the Ngage tools....settings...connection....access points....options...new access point>default settings... Enter the following... Connection Name : Anything (But remeber this name cuz ull enter it in various programs that require the net) THIS IS YOUR ACCESS POINT NAME Data Bearer: GPRS Access Point Name: The name you gave your bluetooth conected computer...but to be honest ive put anything in here and it still works..... Username : None Password : No Authentication : Normal Gateway IP Address : 0.0.0.0 leave the advance settings alone.... and this should create your access point name.... --------------- 2nd Part This applies to the Belkin Bluetooth Software but could be similar for other bluetooth USB devices.... the magic sequence is to make sure the belkin software connects to the serial port with the ngage.... right click the bluetooth icon in the systray.... quick connect....bluetooth serial port....other devices..... now if youve paired them correctly the name of your ngage will come up... select it and let it connect it might come up with an error....ignore it and press ok.... mine says it connects to COM0 ... if you have PC Suite installed look at the mrouter icon.... 2 grey triangles change colour when it connects....or changes to another graphic of a computer or phone....success! so far so good... 3rd and last fucken part..... The browser that comes with the ngage is a crap piece of shit and wont work through the above setting...neither will RealOne Player when trying to stream....but im working on these 2 now as we speak.... Grab Netfront Browser....and install it on your Ngage..... its here > http://www.access-sys-eu.com/NetFront_for_Series.410.0.html When you enter the web the first time...it asks which access point to use....use the one you created above...under connection name...it should be in the list.... I'll see ya on the net ;) cheers ;) "a_dude" <blax@blox.com> wrote in message news:bt90ug$1hmn$2@otis.netspace.net.au... > Woot! > > Now i can access my email via my ngage and no GPRS or WAP charges ... > > cheers ;) > > >

ok mark, what version is your n-gage *#0000# ? mine is v.3.30 28-8-03 what OS are you using? what version of Belkin Driver are you using? and in the Belkin Software do this.... right click the belkin bluetooth icon in the systray...advance configuration.....local services.....select Network Services and click properties....then in the drop down box....make sure you have "Allow other devices to access the Internet/Lan via this computer" selected.... and i clicked Configure Internet Connection Sharing button at the bottom too but it did nothing...but i suspect it changed some registry entries....doesnt hurt to press it once at least.... go back and connect again....btw when i connect the serial port....the bluetooth icon (black ball on the ngage gets 2 brackets around it while its connected to the net...as well as the letter G in the top right hand corner... I DONT have ICS installed too btw....you dont need it... let me know how you go bro... cheers ;) "Mark." <m.nikia#optusnet.com.au> wrote in message news:3ff9f5cb$0$18746$afc38c87@news.optusnet.com.au... > Specs followed to the letter. > Continuously: "Connecting via PC" and "GPRS unavailable.
