Hello,

I do not usually cross post, so please forgive me.
The following email I received from a friend in the USA trying
to obtain a mirror site for my FAQ "TVPLUS"

<http://www.zeta.org.au/~grove/tvhome.html>, frightened me a lot. I know
you must have progress - but you must also have a choice.

I have removed certain details to provide anonymity to the parties
involved, but the information is TRUE.
The major FTP site is a very popular one in the US for MSDOS and Windows
software.

"Well, things didn't go so well when my prof buddy talked to xxxxxx's
sysop.
In the sysop's words, "(we) are trying to get all DOS programs off
campus,
since they are obsolete, will not continue to be supported in the future,
and
are not as popular nor as robust as their Windows counterparts." I don't
know about you guys, but this is very discouraging to me. I will use and
program for Win3.1 and Win95, but I feel like I've been railroaded by
Bill
Gates. Tis a dark day for the intelligent computer user..."
