GVP GForce 030 Accelerator RAM Help

I have a GVP 030 GForce Accelerator on my A2000 (standard setup-1MB
Chip, 2MB Fast) and I just got some used 64PIN 4MB SIMMS for it.
Whnever I put ram on the card in any increments (1, 2, or 3 chips) I
lose the factory soldered RAM. That is, the system does not recognize
it anymore. This is evident from a cli when using avail command, from
sysinfo and from directory opus. When I remove the ram, the factory
ram reappears. Are there settings I am forgetting about when loading
this ram onto my accelerator? If anyone has experienced this problem
and has a solution that would be very helpful.

Thanks,

Paul Wight

The only jumpers on the board referring to ram is whether or not to
map the ram as auto-config or as extended. When in either position it
does the same thing, the factory ram disappears and the new chips do
not show either. There are several 'reserved' jumpers but with no
explanation in the manual.
