Hi,

I've tried to install Win 95, and Win 98 onto a computer after formating the
hard drive and it comes up with the following error:

windows protection error. vmm32.vxd missing / unable to load.

Now I can get into windows in safe mode and that file is definitely in
\windows\system.

As it's a virtual device driver I presume it is having trouble with some of
the hardware on the computer.

Does anyone know how to help. Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Gavin
