I asked a question a few days ago:

>I am trying to use one on Linux. the cdwrite-1.5 program (which comes
>with the mkisofs package) says it only works with a Phillips CDR.

I since managed to solve my problems. It actually was most
straightforward once I used the correct versions of the programs.

I use mkisofs-1.05.tar.gz (I think from tsx-11, but not sure).

The actual writer is cdwrite-2.0.tar.gz from
	ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/utils/disk-management

There is also a package cdwtools-0.93.tar.gz in the same place but I did
not use it. It contains some tools for mastering management.

After creating the image (on hard disk) I use the loop device to mount
it and see that it is ok. I mount it read-only (the default mounts it rw
and there were some warnings about corruptions). I use the recent mount-2.5g
which knows how to handle the loop device automatically.

Thanks for everyone's help.

BTW, I used kernels 1.3.90 or thereabout.
