I've just downloaded boot/root slackware disks tring to install new version and am comming across the following message. Insert ramdisk floppy & press <return> after booting the bare boot disk. if I insert the root (color) disk I get the following error messages. Corrupted input RAMDISK: gzip header not found - Continuing with converentional load. <LOTS OF NORMAL STUFF> Kernel panic VFS Unable to mount root fs on 21:00 The machine is a 100MHz pentium with 16M ram and ide HDD. I've currently have slackware loaded on it from AUG 1995 CD-ROM and want to reload the drive with ELF system. Any ideas ? Best regards Mark Harvey harveym@zip.com.au
