Hello,

I have Hylafax installed on my Sparc IPC running Solaris 2.4
How do I turn it off?

I don't necessarily wish to remove the software, just disable it when it
boots.

I found some files relating to hylafax in /etc/init.d and rc.d
but am afraid to alter the boot up config files, for fear of locking
myself out.

How do I remove the faxq and faxgetty from the startup, while retaining
my standard console?

The faxgetty points to cua/a so I imagine that my console will be
unaffected by turning it off, but I am unsure...

There is a start and stop command in the script but I have no idea where
to call it...

Anyone with experience of Solaris and Hylafax please contact me!

thanks!

Rachel
