Hi

I am trying to include an eps figure into my latex document.  However, when
I try to xdvi it, it barfs as follows:

I created the figure using xfig and made sure to select latex fonts
and not postscript fonts, but still this happens.  Any idea as to what
is going on?  I have been fighting with this problem for the past 2
hours and it is past midnight now. So I would greatly appreciate any
help from the more experienced latex users.  Here is my document's
relevant portions, if it will help:
