MIKE TYSON SUES DON KING FOR 100 MILLION DOLLARS!

NEW YORK (AP) - Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson filed a $100
million lawsuit Thursday against Don King, alleging the promoter cheated
him out of tens of millions of dollars over more than a decade.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan named King and his
companies as defendants, alleging they acted as one entity to enrich King
at the expense of a vulnerable, unsophisticated boxer who could not
understand contracts.

"Despite his gross conflicts of interest, King approved one-sided,
unconscionable and oppressive agreements" between his companies and a
boxing industry that wanted to benefit from the huge value of Tyson's
fights, the lawsuit alleged.

Peter Fleming Jr., a lawyer for King, said he had no comment on the lawsuit.

Tyson is currently banned from boxing until at least July for biting
heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield in the ring. He has earned an estimated
$140 million in six fights since he was released from an Indiana prison in
1995 after serving time for rape.

The boxer has been cheated out of fair participation in deals worth more
than $100 million and has been subjected to a "pattern of fraudulent
conduct" that has been "financially devastating to Tyson," the lawsuit said.

King had even surrounded the boxer with an entourage of accountants and
advisers that were actually "King puppets acting in the interests of the
promoter and his companies," it alleged.

The true loyalties were proven when Tyson recently separated himself from
the King camp and a new accountant asked Tyson's former bookkeeper for
Tyson's records.

"I can't (hand them over) because the files are in cabinets owned by Don
King," the lawsuit alleged the new accountant was told.

The fraud began almost as soon as King entered Tyson's life in 1986, when
Tyson was being managed by Jimmy Jacobs and Bill Cayton, the lawsuit said.
Jacobs died in 1987 and Tyson fired Cayton in 1988.

King and his companies then served as Tyson's manager, confidant, adviser
and promoter from 1988 to 1998, directing and developing every aspect of
Tyson's career, the lawsuit said.

At the time, the lawsuit said, "Tyson was a young professional fighter
without any formal education, and King was an experienced boxing promoter
and manager with a veritable army of professional advisers."

"King knew that Tyson had a fundamental inability to read and understand
contracts and fully appreciate the effect of business transactions on his
life," it alleged.

King found ways to carve up Tyson's purse so that little of the fight money
made it to the boxer, the lawsuit said.

Tyson was required to pay consulting fees to King's wife, son and
son-in-law and other fees to King's daughter, who was president of the Mike
Tyson Fan Club, the lawsuit said.

Tyson also paid for travel expenses incurred by King and those who traveled
with him to meet Tyson as well as the cost of security, corporate cars,
renovations at King's businesses, unusually large purses to other undercard
fighters promoted by King and fees for King's legal battles, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit alleged that King even took advantage of Tyson's imprisonment,
visiting him and persuading him to sign contracts when he knew the boxer
had no access to an attorney. The last visit was five days before his release.

Next week, King is scheduled to go on trial in federal court in Manhattan
on charges that he and Don King Productions had faked a contract with
Lloyd's of London insurance company to collect $350,000 in non-existent
training expenses for a canceled 1991 bout between Julio Cesar Chavez and
Harold Brazier.

In an earlier trial on the insurance fraud charge that ended with a
deadlocked jury, Chavez, the former World Boxing Council super lightweight
champion, testified that King paid him only $80,000 to train and never told
him about an insurance claim.

During that trial, Tyson sat in the courtroom in a show of support for King.

King's other companies named in Tyson's lawsuit include DKP Corp. and
Kingvision Pay Per View, Ltd.

SECTION 2: ECW REPORT
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

==============================================================
ECW Report by Indigo <dnl@nb.net, http://1indigo.simplenet.com>
---------------------------------------------------

Hey folks.. this is Indigo... back with the ECW Report for this week! We
are one week removed from Living Dangerously. I apologize for no report
last week, but my local station got rid of ECW, so I had to wait an extra
week for another station to pick it up.

Joey Styles welcomes us to this week's ECW Show. He states that Living
Dangerously will be a night remembered forever.

Highlights of Cyberslam '98, and the match between Justin Credible and
Tommy Dreamer were shown. Credible spiked Beulah.

Highlights of last week's ECW were shown, when Tommy Dreamer spoke to
Justin Credible.

Joey Styles walked us through Justin Credible's highlights in ECW lately.

Still clips were shown of Tommy Dreamer against Justin Credible from last
Sunday's PPV. This matchup had alot of heat. Credible interrupted a 10 bell
salute for Tommy's grandfather, and Dreamer has wanted him more than
anything. Now, before the match we found out that Beulah was not there, and
that reportidely she was with Credible. Beulah came out, and hugged
Credible... an then delivered a low blow! Jason came in, and another low
blow! The big woman in Credible's corner grabbed Beulah and bear hugged
her. Mikey Whipwreck came out and Stunned the big woman! Dreamer DDT'd
Credible... and got the victory! Tommy Dreamer defeated Justin Credible.

Dueling Canes Match: Sabu and The Sandman

This match took place at Living Dangerously before the PPV.
Sabu used Rob Van Dam as a ploy, and Sabu and the Sandman fought it out!
Double jump springboard plancha by Sabu! The Sandman hit the steel. Sabu
set up a table, and set the Sandman on it. Sabu climbs into the ring, up
the turnbuckle and onto the Sandman through the table! Arabian Face Buster
by Sabu! Sabu climbed up top, and missed with an Atomic Arabian Face
Buster. The Sandman is thrown onto the ramp. Sabu follows. Sandman caught
Sabu, but Sabu suplexed the Sandman. Triple Jump Moonsault on the ramp on
the Sandman! Sabu goes face first into the table, and the ref was knocked
silly! Table Suplex onto Sabu by The Sandman. Sandman setting up a table,
and set Sabu onto the table. Van Dam came down in his Sabu garmant. Sabu
set up a table outside. Frogsplash by Van Dam on the Sandman. Sabu set up
the Sandman on the table, and both men drove him through the table! Sabu
rolls him
into the ring, and pinned him. Sabu beat the Sandman.

Still shots were shown of Too Cold Scorpio's match against Rob Van Dam.
Flash Funk is temporarily in ECW, and is a member of the WWF. Rob Van Dam
is a great technical wrestler, and an aerial artist. This was a great
match... best one of the PPV. It lasted over 25 minutes! It was a pretty
good show. Van Dam wins with a small package. Van Dam picks up the mic, and
said that Scorpio could shake his hand. Scorpio picks up the mic, and that
he'd shake his hand even if he'd lost. Scorpio hit Van Dam, and Sabu came
down and he and Van Dam beat on Scorpio. They layed Scorpio on the table.
The Sandman came down and saved Scorpio. Afterwards The Sandman and Scorpio
danced and drank beer.

A video collage of Bam Bam Bigelow and Taz's history was shown.

Still shots of the Bam Bam Bigelow/Taz match were shown. This match was
fueled when Bam Bam double crossed Taz, and turned on him in a tag match,
and joined the Triple Threat once again. Bam Bam was definately the fan
favorite, due to the event being held in his hometown. The match was going
well until... um... they went through the ring!!??! Taz had the Tazmission
on the back of Bam Bam and they went crashing through the ring. Bam Bam
brought Taz up and pinned him. All sorts of medical personal came in.

Still shots were shown from the Chris Candido and Shane Douglas vs. Lance
Storm and Sunny/Al Snow match. Chris Candito and The Franchise Shane
Douglas took on Lance Storm and... Sunny? Sunny turned on Lance Storm! And,
um... Lance Storm smelled a trap, and he gave him HEAD!!!!! Al Snow! Al
Snow is Storm's partner! Douglas was sent into the hole! Snow Plow, and
Snow got him! New Tag Team Champs Al Snow and Lance Storm. The fans throw
the heads into the ring.

Triple Threat Interview: Shane Douglas stated that he is sorry... sorry
that the ECW World Title did not mean as much as the TV Title. Shane was
also mad about Al Snow and his stupid gimmik with the head, and he
challenged Al Snow as ECW went off the air this week.

SECTION 3: NO HOLDS BARRED!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hello all you wonderful wrestling fans. Hope you
had a great week. I know I have. In this weeks
article, I am going to talk about all the possible
celebrities that are going to be at WrestleMania 14,
and
also the upcomming RAW's.
Lets start out with who we already know. We found
out a few months back that Iron Mike Tyson
would be at the PPV, and we now know that he will be
a ring enforcer (outside referee.) Hey he is the
Baddest Man On The Planet, but will enough people buy
the event to have the WWF just break even
money wise? I have learned that Tyson is being paid
an amazing 6 million dollars for his services at the
PPV and showing up at the RIW's. Vince, I understand
that you want people to rent the best WWF
event of the year, but is it really worth the money?
One other note on Tyson, don't forget to watch
RAW this week and next for he is scheduled to be at
both events.
The next guess is the Baseball Great Pete Rose. I
haven't heard how much he is being paid, but I'm
sure it isn't to much. All he is going to do is be a
guest ring announcer for one of the matches.
WrestleMania has always been an event where we see
special guests, so I guess having Rose there
couldn't hurt.
Now here is an amusing one, I read on WICN News
Board that Jennifer Flowers may be at
WrestleMania. Some of you may be asking, who is she?
Well, the President of the US is involved in
some sort of sex scandle right now, and Jenn Flowers
is one of the people he has been with. So this
would be kind of amusing to see her at the event. I
don't know what sort of role she would play, but
probably another guest ring announcer or time keeper.
Another possibility is Karrot Top. We have been
seeing commercials for his new movie, and he was
talking about WrestlMania. And the last commercial
had the Headbangers in the commercial. I don't know
about you, but I would love to see him in the arena.
Lets see, who else is there? Oh yeah, who will
sing the National Anthem? I was told that it could be
Puff Daddy! Hey, I love this guy's music. It would be
great to see and hear him at WrestleMania.
I think I covered all the guests the WWF could
have at the event, but now I'm going to talk about
which wrestlers are gona be there, and some of them
you may not have known about.
There is going to be a 15 team over the top
battle royal. Hey, this match is gona be a great one.
Here is how it works, 15 tag team start out in the
ring, so there are actually 30 men in the ring at the
same time. If you get thrown over the top rope and
both feet hit the floor, not only are you out of the
match, but your partner is also. Now, you may be
doing the math and be saying to yourself well, does
the WWF even have 10 tag teams??? The answer is no.
That is unless you split teams like the NOD
up. Right there you have two tag teams. Also, the WWF
has signed some new Light Heavyweights
that they will also use in the match.
As was announced last night on RAW, the
Undertaker will meet Kane at WrestlMania. Hey, that is
going to be a great match-up. We have waiting for
this match from back in the summer when Paul
Bearer said he would bring Kane to the WWF and then a
few months later when Kane showed up. I
never thought that the WWF could keep this match from
happening for such a long time, but they did it.

The next match is The "Rock" Rocky Mivia versus
Ken Shamrock. I think that this match will be
OK. Something will happen in this match that will be
the last straw between the NOD. I look for some
sort of Brawl to break out between the five members
of the nation, and then Shamrock will win the
Intercontenental Championship belt.
Another match for the PPV is the New Age Outlaws
versus Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie.
This match is going to be full of action. I expect to
see chairs thrown in the ring, the dumpster to be
used, and who knows, maybe even we'll see the
chainsaw used. I see one of two things happening in
the match. One: NAO will lose. This will happen if
Terry Funk's contract with WWF is over then. But
since it isn't known exactly how long Funk is under
contract I can't say if this will happen. So the other
possability is that a Cactus Jack/Cainsaw Charlie
feud will start. However, this probably won't happen.
We may see some matched between the two, but they are
such good friends I can't really see them
feuding.
There are some other matches that are going to
take place, but they aren't really going to be that
great. So I'm just going to skip to the Main Event.
With the Special Guest "Enforcer" Mike Tyson, the
match is between The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels
and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I'm going to tell
you right now, Tyson will do something in this match.
I see him ending up in the ring and throwing some
punches. Also, as long as Austin is in good condition
and he is feeling healthy, he should win the match
and belt. Lets just hope that HBK does show up at the
event and not chiken out like he did the last
WrestleMania when he was set to wrestle Bret Hart.
And one other thing, this match is going to be
great!!!
Now, before I end this issue, I know some of you
are thinking, "Why is he talking about
WrestleMania? It's still some 3+ weeks away." Well, I
just wana start to hype what is going to be one
of the best events of the year!

SECTION 4: OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Oh You Didn't Know? by the SEIB (seib316@aol.com)
=======================================
Not a bad week for wrestling. Just on little problem. JJ. To paraphrase my
and everybody else's hero, that guy's a peice of trash. Gee, just when I
thought his NWA gimmick was getting stupid, he pulls this crap. There's only
one thing Vince really can do with this guy, the same one does with a lame
horse. Put a bullet in his head.

What's with Austin getting jumped all the time now? That's just a bit too
much of a role reversal for me. More and more proof of Vinnie's stupidity.

Why the hell did Tyson join dX you may ask? I think I know. What do the
people want? Austin vs. Tyson. What can this provide? Austin vs. Tyson.
How? Simple. Shawn Michaels probably won't be able to wrestle. Soon, they
will announce that as the newest member of dX, Tyson will take his leader's
place to defend the belt against Austin. Now, WrestleMania gets the ratings
it needs, and the WWF pulls ahead of WCW. Good idea, Vinnie.

Well, I know it's short, but I gotta bring it to a close. My closing comment
is Undertaker. Wicked cool comeback. Lightning bolts rule! The way WWF is
going, it may get back on top sometime soon.
