OWEN HART SPEAKS ABOUT HIS INJURY
There will still be a WWF European title match at the upcoming
Wrestlemania pay-per-view extravaganza. There was some concern over the match
taling place on the card because of an injury suffered by Owen Hart during
last Tuesday's Raw Is War tapings in a match against Barry Windham.

In a recent interview with Slam! Wrestling's Greg Oliver, Hart delved
deeper into his injury and his status for the future. "I just got it analyzed
at the Calgary Stampeder clinic. I have a severe tear in my right ankle
ligament," told Slam's Oliver. "Just stepping off the second rope, I stepped
onto his boot and rolled my ankle and ripped, tore the ligament on the right
side." Hart then said.

As for the time off due to the injury Hart stated "This rehab that I'm
going through is really intense. Geez, every day since it happened Tuesday
night, three days and I'm still in a cast, but my mobility is much better. I
could even try to be back for TV tapings in Arizona next week." However, it is
unclear what the exact time frame for his return is.

      QUESTIONS ABOUT YOKOZUNA'S HEALTH ANSWERED
Last week questions arose about the health of two time WWF World champion
Yokozuna. The representative from the Top Rop promotion, Sunday, answered
those questions.

It was feared that Yokozuna, who was last seen being forklifted into an
ambulence after having his leg broken on Raw, had had a heart attack.
Fortunetly that is not the case. Yokozuna suffered from numbness on his left
side along with his knees giving in while at an airport on Thursday.

The cause if these problems was a bad reaction to some medication he had
been taken. He has undergone some tests and is expected to be cleared for
action in the very near future.

                      RAW IS WAR
(Wheeling Civic Center in Wheeling, West Virginia)

The show opens up with clips from last week's episode. First Mike Tyson
shocks the wrestling world when he joins D-Generation X. Then the return of
the man from the darkside as the Undertaker returns to accept the challenge
from his brother Kane.

"The Worlds Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman defeated
Faarooq & WWF Intercontinental champion Rocky Maivia by DQ when the rest of
the Nation of Domination interfered. Kama Mustafa, D-Lo Brown and Faarooq
began to work over Shamrock in the corner. Maivia then pushed them aside and
told them that he would handle Shamrock. Faarooq, obliged, having the other
Nation members leave the ring and make their way up the ramp. Shamrock fought
back but Faarooq wouldn't let the Nation go to the aid of Maivia. Shamrock,
who went outside the ring after Maivia, put on the ankle lock submission. The
other Nation members who saw this wanted to go to the aid of the IC champion,
but Faarooq said no.. "You wanted him, you got him" said Faarooq to Maivia.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna then made their way to the ring for an
interview, minus Shawn Michaels. Footage is shown from last week of "Iron"
Mike Tyson joining D-Generation X. Helmsley then proceeds to say that last
week Chyna got inot the head of European champion Owen Hart and then talked
about their match at Wrestlemania. Then more footage is shown, this time of
Michaels superkicking Steve Austin from last week. Shawn Michaels then
appeared on the Titan Tron. He said he has prior commitments, hence his
absence. Michaels said that DX has aquired the hottest comodity in the sports
world in "Iron" Mike Tyson and said that that tipped the Vegas odds into his
favor. Finally, he said that after the match at Wrestlemania he would go out
the main event, the show stopper and more importantly the WWF Wold champion.

Barry Windham defeated WWF European champion Owen Hart by countout when he
was unable to get back into the ring after Chyna, who satyed at ringside with
HHH, gave Owen low blow. Bradshaw then came rushing into the ring after Barry
Windham and Jim Cornette.

The show comes back from commercial with Jerry Lawler in the lockerroom with
Kane and Paul Bearer. Bearer said he did not want to talk about the
Undertaker. He said he wanted to talk about Vader and clips were shown of how
Kane out Vader out of commission. Jerry Lawler continued to push the
Undertaker issue but Bearer said he will talk about him later tonight. Just
then the seat flaps that were attacked to the lockers began to flap up and
down.

Aguila defeated "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher by DQ when Jerry "The King"
Lawler, who was seconding" Christopher, tripped Aguila from the top rope.
Christopher and Lawler then attacked Aguila only to be fended off by the WWF
Lightheavyweight champion TAKA Michinoku.

Steve Austin then arrived at the building and made his way to the ring for
an interview. He said that he went to the truck and he wanted them to cue up
the videotape. The tape was from last week and Vince McMahon calling Mike
Tyson "The baddest man on the planet." he said it was like a slap in the face
and he wanted Vince McMahon to come out to the ring. he was prepared to sit in
the ring until he did. Jery Brisco and Jack Lanza came down to the ring to try
and coax Austin out. Austin wouldn't go. Slaughter then made his way down but
still no aveil. Then Pat Patterson and the security came down only to go back.
Finally, McMahon made his way to the ring. Austin beraded McMahon saying he
dosen't want him as WWF champion. AFter about 10 minutes Austin said he would
give McMahon until the count of ten to get out of the ring or he would kick
his ass. McMahon left the ring. Austin then said that he would get HHH
tonight.

Chainsaw Charlie and Cactus Jack defeated the Quebecers. After the match
Road Dog, sporting a sling, came out and said he came out last week with a
neck brace and that Cactus and Chainsaw were like the Bubonic Plague because
it spread to his shoulder. he said he wasn't 100% because he couldn't swing a
chair 90 mph, but neither was Cactus so he challenged him to come after him.
When Cactus left the ring Billy Gunn, who came from the crowd behind the
announcers table, came in the ring and nailed Charlie with a chair to the
back.

Kane and Paul Bearer then made their way to the ring for an interview. Paul
Bearer began to say that the Undertaker decided to come back when the lights
went out and the bells tolled. When the lights came back on the Undertaker
appeared standing behind Kane. Kane turned around and saw this. He started to
make his way to the Undertaker when the lights went out again and the bells
tolled. When the lights came back on the Undertaker was gone.

The Goldust/Marc Mero match ended in a no contest. Both Sable and LUna were
handcuffed to ring posts. The referee was accidently knocked out and Goldust
hit Mero with the "Curtain Call." the referee was coming to when Goldust hit
him. he grabbed the handcuff key and unlocked LUna. Luna went over to Sable
and began to smear makeup all over her face. Pat Patterson then made his way
down and unlocked Sable, but before she could go after Luna she was restrained
by Mero and company.

Goldust & Luna challenged Mero and Sable to a mixed tag team match at
Wrestlemania.

The Savio Vega/ Hunter Hearst Helmsley never really began. Helmsley came
down to the ring with security which surrounded the ring. As the match was
about to begin Steve Austin came down and entered the ring. he stunnered Jerry
Brisco and a referee. Vega then went after Austin only to get stunnered
himself. As Austin got up he turned around he was nailed with a Superkick by
Shawn Michaels, who was in the building all night. Helmsley then began to
pummel Austin. Helmsley then held Austin as Micahels grabbed a chair. The show
went off when Micahels was prepared to hit Austin with the chair.

NEW JAPAN UPSET WITH WCW AGAIN, WITH GOOD REASON
We reported to you in Friday's edition some of the circumstances in which
New Japan was upset with WCW. It is now known that they have another reason to
be upset, this time it revolves around communication with their competition.

Dave Meltzer, of the Wrestling Observer, is reporting that with the All-
Japan Tokyo Dome show coming quickly World Championship Wrestling has
contacted Giant Baba to see about possibly performing on the show. The WWF was
in contact with All-Japan about a possible talent venture for the same show.

Following WCW's contact with All Japan's Giant Baba, head of All Japan
Pro Wrestling, went public with WCW's offer. This did not sit well with the
New Japan promotion, who has had a working agreement with WCW for several
years now. This will further strain the relationship which has been on a rocky
road for the past couple months.

                      MONDAY NITRO
PWHHartFan's WCW Monday Nitro Recap for March 9, 1998
Nitro is live in Winstom-Salem, North Carolina (Horsemen Country)

Show opens with clips of the Savage/Hogan interview segment on Thunder

Huge crowd approval for Larry Zbyszko while Schiavone and Tenay babble

Even more clips from the same Thunder segment. Savage: "If you want to know
who the real man is, ask your wife" Ouch!

Ernest Miller def. Damien w/ a spinning round kick from the top rope

Interview w/ Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hogan. Hogan talks about Savage's
family and says Liz "did the boys" in the locker room. Hogan rips on Savage,
blah, blah, blah. Pretty typical Hollywood interview. (Whoa there stomach,
settle down)

Mean Gene at Duke University with the Nitro Girls

Sick Boy def. Lenny Lane w/ The Cure (HHH's Pedigree move)

Mike Tenay interviews The Giant. The Giant calls out his "two friends" to
square away things with Hogan and out comes Sting and Randy Savage! Savage
mouths off at Hogan while Sting runs around like a madman in the ring with his
bat. Savage says they challenge Hogan and any two members of the nWo that
won't stab him in the back to a six man tag tonight!

Bill Goldberg def. Barry Darsow w/ The Jackhammer

Mean Gene w/Kimberly at Duke again (This dude behind Kim better take his
hand off her shoulder before DDP rips his spleen out)

Scott Hall comes down alone (in his Hogan t-shirt) with a mic. No survey
tonight, thank God. Hall says he doesn't like Savage talking bad about
Hollywood and says he'll be one teammate tonight, and then jaws at Sting a
bit.

Kevin Nash comes out alone with his Hollywood t-shirt. He sorta repeats the
same stuff Hall said and then jaws at the Giant.

Dean Malenko def. Kidman w/ the Texas Cloverleaf. After the match, Jericho
entices the flock into the ring against Malenko, but the flock beat up Jericho
instead. Jericho ran off and Malenko escaped out the side of the ring.

Interview w/ Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hogan AGAIN. Same old Hollywood
Interview; he says Hall and Nash will be his partners tonight.

Brian Adams def. Kaos w/ a Tilt-a-Whirl Slam. After the match, he hits Rage
with the same slam and makes Charles Robinson count the 1-2-3 on him also.

Konnan comes out for his match with Juventud Guerrera, but he says Juvy must
go through an nWo cruiserweight the same age, height and size as Juvy first.
Juvy comes out, followed by the nWo "crusier weight" Scott Norton.

Scott Norton def. Juventud Guerrera w/ The Shoulderbreaker

Video package of the DDP/Chris Benoit/Raven feud

Raven/Saturn def. DDP/Benoit via Countout. Benoit had Raven in the Crippler
Crossface and Page hit Saturn with a Diamond Cutter off the turnbuckle, but he
landed on Benoit on the way down. Benoit got up and attacked Page and the two
brawled all the way back to the dressing room.

Nice clips of Disco Inferno and Bill Goldberg visiting the Duke U.
Children's Hospital, and another segment with Gene at Duke.

British Bulldog def. Konnan w/ The Running Powerslam

Interview w/ Ric Flair (HUGE reaction for Flair in Winston-Salem). Typical
Flair interview aimed at Curt Hennig.

Chris Jericho def. Disco Inferno w/ The Lion Tamer

Eddie Guerrero follows Chavo, Jr. down to the ring for Chavo's TV title
match with Booker T and says to Chavo "it's your opportunity", but Eddie stays
on the outside. Chavo took advantage of T having his attention on Eddie at the
beginning of the match...

Booker T def. Chavo Guerrero, Jr. w/ The Harlem Sidekick. Eddie suplexed
Chavo after the match and walked off.

Ric Flair def. Curt Hennig via DQ when the nWo interferes. The nWo was all
set to beat the living tar out of Flair, but Bret Hart came in to make the
save and the rid the ring of the entire nWo, including a brief one on one
battle with Hennig. (Just a side note, it was nice to see Mark Curtis back
refereeing in a WCW ring)

Lex Luger and Rick Steiner come to the ring with a large dog that looks like
a Rotweiler to me, although Tony says it's a pitbull (or as Heenan said, "the
missing Steiner")

Luger/Rick Steiner and Norton/Scott Steiner wrestle to a double countout
when Luger and Scott fight back to the locker room and Norton and Rick Steiner
followed them out.

Hollywood Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash def. Sting, Giant, and Randy
Savage. Hogan pinned Savage after "The Apocalypse" as they're calling him now
(Ed Leslie) attacked Savage. Giant and Nash had already gone back to the
backstage area and Sting and Hall were battling on the floor. Sting was
standing over Savage protecting him once again as Nitro went off the air.

crown against Toshiaki Kawada. [Koji]

                     From The Hart
                     by PWHHartFan

Hello everybody, and welcome yet again to "From the Hart". Last week was a
very special week for PWH as we reached issue # 200, and I'd just like to say
one more time how proud I am of that and how glad I am to be such a big part
of it. Congratulations to all staff and readers of PWH. When I thanked the
readers in my special thank you letter in issue # 200, I meant every word of
it...thanks again.

And, since they say I must (and I guess I feel like it), I'd like to welcome
our newest writer, PWHBigSexy, aka Jordan, aka Jordie, aka that guy I saw
climbing in Woman's window last night. You'll be just fine, Jordan...relax.

This week, I am going to give you a very special gift. Since you're
wondering what the gift is, I'll tell you. It's a word to the wise, from me to
you. If you're expecting Wrestlemania XIV to be good, don't. If you feel like
paying thirty or thirty five bucks just because Mike Tyson will be there and
the WWF is hyping the event, go right ahead. Me -- I'll be waiting for
(nobody's) hero PWH TM Rob's reports published after the event. Aside from the
Intercontinental Title match between Ken Shamrock and Rocky Maivia, the tag
team match between The New Age Outlaws and Cactus Jack/Chainsaw Charlie, and
the Undertaker/Kane match, I see Wrestlemania as just another Pay Per View,
Mike Tyson or not.

The first reason I say that is this: don't expect a lot from the main event.
Aside from the "x" factor, Mike Tyson, if we can call him that, it's just not
shaping up to be a real good match. Steve Austin, as popular as he is,
probably hasn't gone more than nine or ten minutes in over ten months. He
doesn't put on great matches to begin with; the injury doesn't help at all.
Shawn Michaels, ordinarily the best main event wrestler in the business, is
suffering from an aching back and booking is expected to be real careful for
this match as to not put Shawn Michaels at risk for further back injuries.
Wrestlemania has had some great title main events in the last four years or
so: Luger vs. Yokozuna and Bret Hart vs. Luger or Yokozuna, Shawn Michaels vs.
Diesel, Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, Undertaker vs. Sid (I may be wrong on
that last one...double check me). This one, though, will be lackluster at
best. The only thing that makes it interesting is that it's not completely
predictable who the winner will be and Iron Mike is there, but that's about
it.

As for the rest of the card, Owen Hart is hurt and should take things easy,
and I can't even think of other matches of interest on the whole card. Like I
said, it's a lot of money to spend for three hours of wrestling, and if this
card won't be any good, save your cash.

Here's something I thought I'd never say: this year's Uncensored should be
much better than Wrestlemania. Wow, that really is a sad statement. I can't
believe I'm saying it...but it's true. Hogan vs. Savage in a cage? I know a
lot of you are cringing at another age in the cage match, but the difference
between Savage and Piper (and Savage and Hogan for that matter) is that Randy
Savage can still wrestle at an extremely high level. He's one of the more
entertaining wrestlers I've ever seen and one of the best high flyers. Not to
mention the fact that he's a few beers short of a six pack. It really
shouldn't be THAT bad of a match. Don't worry about it Tom; at least it isn't
Hogan vs. Piper.

When I look at the rest of the card, I see some good matches. Sting vs.
Scott Hall should be at least halfway decent. I doubt Hall will walk away with
the belt, but I will predict that this match will help set up some aspect of
the "break up" of the nWo. Bret Hart vs. Curt Hennig should be a great match
between two great wrestlers. Hennig isn't near what he once was and Bret Hart
has also dropped off some, but it's a great match nonetheless. Raven vs. Chris
Benoit vs. Diamond Dallas Page: awesome match. A three way match between three
outstanding wrestlers who are willing to give up their body night in and night
out (no jokes, Tom, Jordie or Kevin) should be real entertaining. I have a
feeling DDP will lose his title, but I'm not really sure who. Raven, a long
time close friend of Dallas Page, and Chris Benoit, the best pure wrestler in
the business (possibly) both deserve it in their own ways; we'll just wait and
see. Booker T vs. Eddie Guerrero should be another real good match between a
couple of guys who can go for a long time and perform well. I see screwjob
written on this one, but again, we'll see. Of coruse, there is the Lex Luger
vs. Scott Steiner match which will give us an opportunity to get up and get a
sandwich and some other matches on the card, but I think the matches I
mentioned make it worth your time. (at least more so than Wrestlemania)

Just an aside note here to rap things up...if you said to me a few years ago
at the first Uncensored when the highlight of the event was a match in an open
trailor truck filled with haystacks that this event would turn out to be
better than Wrestlemania one year, I would've lauged. I would've bet that the
Cubs would win the World Series before that happened, but I guess it just
proves the theory "hey, you never know".
