                  TYSON IN ABUSE SCANDAL

BALTIMORE -- Two women have filed a $22 million lawsuit against Mike
Tyson, claiming he verbally and physically abused them at a restaurant
after his sexual advances toward one of them were spurned.

The former heavyweight champion became abusive while he and the women
were having breakfast at a Georgetown bistro in Washington after a
night out on March 1, the suit says. Tyson, who served three years in
prison for rape, became even more enraged when he found out one of the
women is a corrections officer, the suit says.

Sherry Cole and Chevelle Butts appeared at a news conference Tuesday
in Baltimore with their lawyer one day after filing the suit in
Montgomery County Circuit Court. The women, both 30, did not speak to
reporters because they are still too traumatized, lawyer A. Dwight
Pettit said.

Pettit said they are seeking damages for assault, battery, defamation
and emotional distress.

"These women were put through a horrendous ordeal, cursed, verbally
abused in a situation in front of a fully packed restaurant," he said.

Telephone calls to Tyson's lawyer, John Branca, and to an adviser,
Jeff Wald, were not immediately returned.

The suit says Tyson grabbed Cole after his sexual advances were
spurned. Tyson is accused of overturning a table and cursing Butts,
who threw coffee on him to "impede his attack."

Tyson became even more enraged when he learned Butts is a corrections
officer, Pettit said. The boxer also threw bread at a customer who
took a picture of him, the lawyer said.

The lawsuit is not the first against Tyson. In 1988, Sandra Miller of
New York filed a suit claiming that Tyson grabbed and propositioned
her at a nightclub. A jury awarded her $100.

And in 1990, Phyllis Polaner, former aid to ex-wife Robin Givens,
filed a suit claiming Tyson sexually assaulted and harassed her. That
suit is still pending.

TAKE IT OFF. Kimberley and some of the Nitro Girls are said to be
featured in an upcoming issue of Penthouse, according to Ross Forman.
Penthouse is an adult magazine that features full nudity.

Kimberley has been featured twice in editions of Playboy.

THAT ISN'T MY NAME. Hollywood Hogan announced last night on Nitro that
Ed Leslie's name would be "Apocalypse" and not "Disciple" as
originally planned.

Leslie has also gone by the names: Brutus Beefcake, Butcher, Zodiac
and Booty Man.

PREMIUM TOO. The WCW is said to be adding a new premium section to the
WCWWrestling.com page this Friday. The section will include pictures
of the Nitro Girls and more. Different levels are expected. Prices
have not been disclosed.

STEEL TOWN. Steel City Wrestling held a card in Irwin, PA, on Sunday
night. Here are those results:

  Julio Sanchez pinned Cueball Carmichael.
  Dr. Cody Michaels beat Don Montoya after a chairshot.
  Big Neal the Real Deal chokeslammed and pinned The Blade in 28
    seconds.
  Christian York beat Steve Corino by forfeit when Corino failed to
    appear.
  Mark and Troy Mest defeated Vladimir Van Pyre and Bali Djaka.
  "Handsome" Frank Stalletto pinned "Wiseguy" Jimmy Cicero.
  Steel City junior heavyweight champion Reckless Youth defeated "Beef
    Stew" Lou Marconi and Christian York in a three-way dance.
  The next SCW Arena show will take place on Sunday, April 5. Bell

  Psycho Kevin Steele defeated Eightball of the New Bloods.

  I have read recent articles in the newsletter about how WCW is full
  of has beens. I would have to say that I would agree to some extent,
  BUT it's not the wrestlers who are has beens. It's the stupid idiots
  who decide who wins and loses the matches  I mean Curt Hennig beat
  Ric Flair about 10 plus times when Hennig had the US belt, but then
  all of a sudden Jim Neidhart comes in and beats the crap out of
  Hennig, and, to add to this, Ric Flair dominated Neidhart. So are
  they trying to tell me that Neidhart is a better wrestler than
  Hennig? I think that WCW is too busy trying to make all of the
  anti-NWO people happy when the fact is that NWO has some of the
  greatest wrestlers in the sport. Hall, Nash, Hennig, Steiner, Hogan
  (not talented but who doesn't know him), Rude, and Savage. I mean
  with a line-up like that and with great stars like Bagwell how could
  they be getting the crap beat out of them by losers like Luger (who
  has ZERO wrestling talent), Giant (likewise), Sting, and Diamond
  Dallas Page.  

  Now to WWF. I really hate McMahon, but I watch WWF a lot more than
  WCW. The only thing wrong with WWF is that they don't have the
  lineup that WCW does. WWF is made up of wrestlers who are smart
  enough to stay WWF. I mean if a wrestler goes to WCW, unless he is a
  huge superstar, he is basically outdone by many other talented
  wrestlers. WWF needs people like Benoit, Malenko, Jericho, and Eddie
  Guerrero. Wrestlers who aren't extremely big in popularity, but have
  a lot of talent. McMahon also needs to use Vader more. Vader is
  really cool, but with the insignificant role he has, he might as
  well go to ECW where there are talented wresters who are big stars
  to a few fans.  

  My point is that WCW is over packed with talent and eventually all
  of the big names will be back in WWF. So WCW fans just enjoy it
  while you can, because it's not lasting long.

  First, what the heck is this "DDP rules: no referee" crap? If the
  match with Diamond Dallas Page and Raven is no DQ, then what
  difference would it make whether or not there is a ref? If anything,
  that should be looked at as an act of cowardice on Page's part; if
  there's no ref, no winner can be declared, and Page would hang on to
  the title no matter what happens. Look at how the match ended, for
  crying out loud! Raven DDTed Page into the guard rail, and he was
  out cold! Had there been a ref there, we would have a new U.S.
  champion! A stupid gimmick. Just plain stupid. Bischoff, was that
  your idea?

  Second, I would like to add my name to the long list of wrestling
  fans who are irritated by the Ultimate Warrior's comments. So you're
  coming back to the ring... big deal! Every time you come back to the
  ring you pull a disappearing act within months, so why should any of
  us fans get all excited by your announcements now? You'll come back
  to one of the Big Two, you'll get a major push, and just as some big
  angle is coming to a climax, off you'll go, back to "parts unknown,"
  and someone like Sid will have to cover for you again. Do all the
  fans a favor, Warrior. Don't step back into the ring unless you can
  grasp this concept called "work ethic." Don't put on your arm bands
  again unless you know for sure that you won't cut out on your fans
  again. Don't lace up your boots any more unless you are sure you can
  dedicate yourself to the sport. Otherwise, just keep running your
  gyms and writing poetry, you make-up wearing, rope-shaking,
  air-pressing, disappearing, fan-betraying, gods-worshiping,
  butt-twang! Psycho Sid is probably thrilled that you're returning,
  since it means that in a few months he'll get to take your place in
  whatever angle you're a part of!
