Sure, I saw the post, and I had no official comment, so I didn't reply at that time. Am I required to respond to every posting in balt.config? All I am saying is that if there was any interest, somebody should have posted about the group, and since nobody did there wasn't the needed interest to create the group. I will also state that the initial posting asking about interest should have been posted in balt.general and balt.config, as it will catch peoples attention. Then the followups should be posted in balt.config where such discussions are supposed to take place. : > If most of the large site : > admins agree, then it will be created. I know for a fact that balt.music : > dosen't exist here... : : It exists on several other sites at this point as witnessed by the posts : that have already been sent to the newsgroup. But certainly, it's up to : you whether you add it to your news server. The only people it hurts are : your customers who don't have access to it. Ahh, if I was the only site this might be the case, but since there was never an official newgroup control message released, it will ONLY exist on sites that happened to see the discussion and created the group by hand. Will this hurt the users on my sight, I doubt it, and I will stand by my statement that either the correct newgroup control msg needs to be distributed, or I will have to see sufficient volume in my unwanted newsgroups log to consider creation. A group that exists on only a half dozen different machines is not a group in my opinion. As I have said before, I am a BOFH and in my 15 years on this net I have always stood by my principals... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet : howardl@abs.net | Howard D.
