Sorry 'bout that. So no big deal, I am sure I miss many postings as at times I am just to busy to read news for a couple days. Basically in my book you need to have ample interest to creat a group, and if you start saying I want to create group balt.xxx and nobody even cares enough to speak up, then it's a dead issue. If you want to create interest, then starting talking up the group in balt.general, and after this bring the discussion to balt.config were the NetNews admins of the area should jump in. Being a BOFH at heart, I will not just create any group that appears out of the blue... : I missed the post. I offer my sincere and extreme apologies for missing : such a post. I will henceforth check the balt.config newsgroups every : hour, without fail, to avoid be so incredibly foolish in missing such : an all-fired, important message and yours undoubted was. <this was sarcasm, : for the humorly deficient> Jim, you don't read news hourly? Shame on you, at least once a week I perform a neural link to innd and monitor incoming news flow for at least an hour.. :-) : Analogy time: Man goes to a house. Knocks on the door and no one : answers. Being the enterprising type, he manages to find his way : into the house anyway and calls out "Anybody mind if I move in?" : Receiving no answer, he assumes that it's A-OK and makes himself : at home. 2 weeks later, the renter who lives there comes back from : vacation and is, justifyable confused by the circumstances. "Well," : says Man#1, "I was unaware of the procedures in actually renting it : myself, and no one said anything when I asked, so I just went ahead : and moved in. Oh yeah... you're 2 weeks late in complaining about : it anyway." I have to admit I really like this one, and it makes a very good point.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet : howardl@abs.net | Howard D.
