Yo,

I'm coming in mid-thread, so pardon if this has already been said...

I drive pretty fast, and slow people in the left lane drive me nuts, but
the situation that really infuriates me is this one:

Say I'm on a 2-lane road like 17, and traffic is moving 50 on the right
and 60 on the left.  I'm in the left lane, maintaining a safe distance from
the car in front of me.  (Actually, I'd love to maintain a safe distance,
but instead I have to maintain a distance of just under a car length, or else
some jerk will squeeze into the open space).  The guy behind me apparently
isn't happy that I'm not actually touching the car in front of me, so he's
following about 6 inches behind me.  I'm not about to move over into 50mph
traffic just so he and I can swap places, and slowing down accomplishes
nothing.  (If he's really friendly [not], he'll blink his hi-beams at me
as well.)
