This question has been in the SJM Action Line column. 
You can't drive in it for 2 lights!!!  You can get into
the commute lane when the line changes from solid to broken.
If you continue through the light hope a cop isn't around.
Excuses such as 'to much traffic to get into the lane' 
aren't generally accepted.
