Depending on the type of mapping you wish to undertake there are several software-tools you can consider: For: Cross-functional process mapping - I suggest OPTIMA which is produced by Advanedge Technologies - They are on the internet. For: Process Relationship Maps - I also suggest OPTIMA For: Functional Relationship Maps - Visio has a new package available which can be downloaded from their website. As far as a Methodology to conduct your study is concerned, e-mail me and I'd be happy to forward you a copy of a recent article I wrote that will give you a step-by-step process for designing and implementing process change. We also present a one-day course on process mapping. Pierre Mourier, President Stractics Group, Inc. 1-212-278-0730 1-212-278-0730
