I read Sam Barricklow's, K5KJ's post of 6/15/98 concerning the use of
"Real Audio" via the web during actual SKYWARN nets..Hopefully, by the
end of the month, the Charlotte Area SKYWARN Interactive Web Site will
begin using Real Audio, in rcve only, during actual SKYWARN nets! We
have secured permission from our ISP and as long as the "bandwidth"
{i.e. hits} doesn't get astronomical, they have no problem with it..We
are in the process of securing the needed equipment. Our plans include
password command for activation {this will be an "on-demand" situation}
of the audio and possibly using password commands to switch freqs on our
rcvr to allow monitoring of our back-up freq! We will begin this on a
trial basis and judge from the number of hits we get as to it's interest
for future development and use.

We are in need of some additional technical info on getting this set-up
properly. If any of you have set this kind of operation up on the web,
please feel free to e-mail me with the info..Tnx..
