I read Mark, N9NPP's post of 6-14-98 concerning the use of "Real Audio"
during SKYWARN Nets. In the post, he mentioned that he taped a few of
his SKYWARN Nets. I just wondered if any other SKYWARN EC's/NCS's, etc.,
do this and if so, the primary reason[s] for doing it? I think it is a
good resource for training and critique! I have taped several "active"
CASN's {one of which was our activity during Hurricane Hugo's "visit" in
1989, hi} in the past, mainly for the purpose of training present and
future NCS's and for logging. Now, I do it for the same reasons and for
any possible legal {read liability} problems. It's also there for the
"controlling" NWSO to review, if needed. I usually don't tape every net
and so far haven't been able to get other NCS's to do the same when they
have NCS duty. I think that this would be useful info, if used
correctly. What does the rest of the group think of this idea? Tnx..
