trying to acces to a file by means of a link file

Hello,

Developing an application with C++Builder 5.0 I have the following problem:

I have a ini file in C:\WINNT\system32 called personal.ini
In my application folder (D:\Allmine\myapp\) y have mi application
runner.exe, and a link to personal.ini file (personal.ini.lnk).
When runner.exe starts, try to access to personal.ini file, by menas of
personal.ini.lnk. To be exact, what code does is:

 FILE *hFile;
 char dummy[256];
 char *ptr;
 int  sec = -1;
 int  n;

 /* opening .INI */

 if ((hFile = fopen(fName,"rt")) != NULL)
 {
  while (fgets(dummy,sizeof(dummy),hFile))
  {


where "fName" is "personal.ini.lnk".
And my application doesn�t get to personal.ini content.
�How can I access personal.ini file by means of personal.ini.lnk?
