I searched the registry (XP-H) for my ip, and came up with
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\{D98E45E0-984E-4F22-A2A5-A606ED4690D2}
DhcpIPAddress

Also ...\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\...

I wonder if all computers have the same key.
I would think Current would be the one to use.
