Hi, Digby! The odd behavior of your programs seems to more likely suggest a wild pointer (or a thread conflict) than a problem with the dynamic RTL. There have been many successful DLLs which were implemented with BCB3. I'd suggest that if you think SHFileOperation is the problem that you enquire in borland.public.cppbuilder.winapi ------ Mark Cashman (TeamB - C++ Builder), creator of The Temporal Doorway at http://www.temporaldoorway.com - Original digital art, writing, music and more - C++ Builder / JBuilder Tips and The C++ Builder Programmer's Webring (Join us!) http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/index.htm ------
