WRT part of Doug's post (quoted below), the Edmonton section president sent
a notice on Friday last to subscribers to the section mailing list, which
included the following comment: "You should also be aware of the following
Motion passed unanimously at the Edmonton Section Board of Directors meeting
held on January 28th, 1999.
Motion:
Be it moved that the CIPS Edmonton Section Board of
Directors expresses its confidence in the National Board of Directors."
In a return post, I suggested that bringing the motion to the attention of
the section was another attempt at manipulating the vote. So it is not just
at the National level.
(Incidentally, I have yet to see my post on the section mailing list, after
3 days.)
