A couple of questions about my difficulty in either getting some tools
to work properly under R4, or finding them at all.
1) I'd been successfully using the 'rkive' program to take stuff coming off
Usenet sources/answers/etc. and place them in neat, tidy directiory
hierarchies. Lately I've been having major problems -- when run,
rkive identified everything properly, but forever says it's
"Awaiting Archiving" while never actually *doing* the archiving.
Has anyone made 'rkive' work OK under R4, or can you suggest
alternatives?
2) Under 3.2 I was spolied with a "how much UUCP outgoing traffic is
queued?" program called 'uul'? This program, as I knew it, was never
changed to adapt to the R4 BNU scheme of one more (class)
subdirectory level. Does anyone have/recommend a good tool of this
kind to work with R4?
3) I'm also looking for a definitive R4 UUCP/News nightly statistics report.
Many thanks.
