I have a table that use a long entry. The first part of the entry is alway "R" followed by eleven numbers (changes each entry) then "UNOFSAND" followed by seven more numbers. How can I make it so the "R" and "UNOFSAND" are alway there and all have to do is type the other numbers in on the form and it saves it to the table. Pls help. Pls email answers to enforcer@pacbell.net. Thanks.....

How about when the entry is made up of text from other controls on the same form. I am having trouble piecing the text together when I am at a new record... txtFullText = [cboPart1] & "_" & [txtPart2] & "text" & [txtPart3] & ".txt" Ron Myer wrote: > TIMOTHY W. Robert: The input mask does not need to be created on the form design property sheet. You can do it in code as part of an event procedure for the control that defines it. Assume that you are getting some information that defines the input mask in txtONE, and you want to set the input mask in txtTWO. In the LostFocus event of txtOne, set the property txtTWO.Inputmask to the correct construction. Hi. You want to use a mask on the control. Go to the properties sheet and use the build button for the mask property to invoke the mask wizard. It will walk you through it. hth, Darla TIMOTHY W.
