  We have never had a problem with our Cisco boxes and we have a large
number of them (they are the current router available to us on the
Navy TAC-3 contract).  Folks I know are also quite pleased with
Wellfleet and Proteon equipment.

  Telebit has very solid modems.  We are consider a NetBlazer
ourselves for connecting two small Ethernets via dialup high-speed
modems.  My experience with Telebit is that they are a good vendor.
