I have had PacBell contractors/installers out at least 10 times just to
get plain old analog lines installed. It seems that ever since PacBell
decided to farm out the installation of copper wires, things have
gotten worst. What really bothers me is how someone can come out to
your site and declare that a pair works just great, yet there is no
dial tone on the pair. What sort of testing are these guys doing?
This happens all the time. I now order a zillion more lines than I
need just in the hopes that at least 70% of them will be working at
any one time.
