Hi, I was talking to somone the other day who told me that he was
considering getting a Aspect call managment system for his new call
centre that he was opening later in the year. Could somone tell me why
they are considered tobe the best of the best ? What their features are
etc?

You can get general product and service descriptions at
http://www.aspect.com. The web page also lists the addresses and
phone numbers of Aspect's sales offices world-wide.

If you would like, I can send you a detailed product specification or
have a sales rep contact you with more information, and I would be
happy to answer any technical questions you might have.

I have had peripheral (no pun intended) contact with Aspect systems,
in that we make a fax system that we've connected to a couple of
Aspect call centers.

From what I've seen, their strongest point may be their
programmability -- the setup people program a series of steps which
controls how a call will be handled (answer the call, say hello, say
everyone is busy, play music, apologize for the delay, play more
music, etc.).

They have an optional piece which will send serial information to an
external device (like ours). By reading the info, we're able to get
all the information we need about the call to handle it correctly.
Generally, it was a pleasant experience working with it.

When evaluating any call center solution one would really need to know
the specific application(s) involved... inbound, outbound, blended,
software integration requirements, numbers of agents, call time, etc.

At that point, the real world of each environment's ability to meet
those needs can be assessed. Often a software based solution working
together with the proper hardware based solution provides the most
complete (read cost effective and flexible) solution.
