Hello, I would like to be able to add headers such as X-Administrative-To: and X-Messages-To: to some of my outgoing mail (for a mailing list I run). How can I do this? I use Elm, but I'd rather not have to be tied to one mail program. Sendmail is the transfer agent we use. Thanks for any help! --eric -- /----------"Oh carrots are divine, you get a dozen for dime, its maaaagic."-- |Eric David Hendrickson The game is afoot! edh@news.cis.umn.edu |Computing and Information Services 612/626-7761 University of Minnesota \---------------------"Damnit! i just did: H?X?X-btw: vix.com is also vixie.sf.ca.us and Mether, P=[IPC], F=mDFMuCX, S=11, R=21, A=IPC $h Mtcp, P=[IPC], F=mDFMuCXL, S=14, R=14, A=IPC $h, E=\r\n that is, i added an H line which is dependent on flag X (an unused flag), and then added X to the F= clauses of each mailer i wanted to have add this header. this is all in sendmail.cf. if you want something that's specific to each user, you'll have to do it in your user agent. -- Paul Vixie, DEC Network Systems Lab Palo Alto, California, USA "Ready, Fire, Aim" <vixie@pa.dec.com> decwrl!vixie <paul@vix.com> vixie!paul alt.pink.bunny.boom.boom.boom moderator
