This complacent sheep-like attitude of customers who go into stores with thier pants already down around thier ankles, a jar of vasoline in one hand and the other carrying a sign saying "please screw me good, I promise to not complain", is fostering the kind of quasi-criminal/dishonest business like this National computer. If you enjoy the type of business like Computer 1 and Way2Cheap, who take in computers for repair up to the day they declare bankruptcy, and sell your stuff so the owner can hurridly buy a giant house with lots of land, and then put it in his wife's name so the bankruptcy courts can't touch it, well, I have a short list of other "fine" establishments you might want to patronize, so you can save a little bit of money because you are "technically savvy". Now, to top it off, this crooked dimwit who runs the place can't even manage to run a virus-checking program, and emails viruses to his customers. The only people who can afford such things are people with real jobs, instead of zit faced brats like you who just sit around on dad's computer attempting to promote your imature agenda, which is simply a hostility towards any company that does business via the usenet. All of your posts and the rest of your smelly butt-buddies in the UPP are just a pack of liars. You can not show any proof about all these claims of theft, credit card fraud, and other crimes. I kind of picture you as having a low slopeing forehead, living in a dirty apartment in some college town with posters of Mao and Che'on walls, walking mumbling about how one day the workers will break their chains as you stand in front of McDonalds ranting about how the clown is a child molester. Usenet is a great outlet for people who might other wise be institutionalized if they where out in public. Do you go there the newspaper and call up people and harass them about about the prices in their classified ads?

Hey, Joe - gee thanks for looking out for us, but I personally have purchased several items from NCC, and have gotten great deals. Yes, they are pulls and overstocks, but you get what you pay for, right? Whenever I've had a problem with a part, I just take it back, and they're willing to credit me for the part. I asked about, and understood, the terms for returning items before I purchased. No, it's not Best Buy, but where else are you gonna get an Enlight ATX case for $25, a dual PII Asus motherboard for $80, an IBM Ultrastar 4.3 gig ultra-wide SCSI drive for $100.... all have worked flawlessly for me. If you're technically savvy, NCC can be a great place for deals. It's not a virus, but a clever self-replicating program which attaches itself to email and Usenet postings without the user's knowledge (obviously.) FWIW, you might also watch out for Louis Moran <ltemplar@worldnet.att.net> who posts to these newsgroups from time to time, and who sent me an attachment called happy99.exe (I didn't open it, so I have no idea whether it was benign or real) in response to an offer I made to him for some equipment he posted here. Because there was no text in the response -- just the attachment -- I think it must have been deliberate. Apparently he was unhappy with my offer, but it WAS legitimate ($5 for an approximately 25 year old 10 MHz Heathkit oscilloscope).
