One person, who is being quite noisy about it all, was under the mistaken
impression that she qualified. She did not. Period. End of story.

I have no idea on why there is no provision for write-in in the by-laws. I'd
guess that (a) our lawyer didn't feel it was advisable, (b) there is something
in the code governing our corporation (MA G.L. 180, C.L. c. 18056A, etc.)
that prohibits it, or (c) our previous president had it removed in the
re-incorporation several years ago.

Remember, this isn't like a general election -- this is an election of
directors for a million-dollar non-profit corporation. Way different from
being Refreshment Chairman at your local LUG... We have to do things a
certain way or be at some legal risk here.
