New Scanner and Old A4000 don't mix

Any advice appreciated.

I purchased a Mustek 6000SP scanner and Storm SCSI Interface for use with my
A4000. They have worked together occasionally - I have had a few successful
scans. But mostly, the software does not work and the scans are corrupted.

Castle, the folks I bought from, have been very helpful. They have replaced
every piece of hardware with equipment they have tested. They have also used
my software on their machines and found it worked. We have been at this for
weeks, and are still working on the problem.

They are presently trying an A3020 with a comparable set up to see if the
same errors are thrown up.

Any ideas as to what is going on?

Cheers,

Art
