Question: Has anyone developed a utility that catches traps and other
exceptions and handles them without guru'ing the machine?
I have toyed with the idea of writing such a program myself, but if
it has already been done, there is no sense in reinventing the wheel :-)
My thought is to install handers for each of the common CPU exceptions
(Divide by zero - Address error - overflow...etc) and merely kill the
task which caused it rather than crash the entire machine. Am I missing
something here? It can't be this easy or someone would surely have
already done this.
